Maoists strike again! With their ugly ethnic politics and 3 day long strike.
This too much. Too much of anarchy. I can’t just stand this. But can’t do anything either.
I spent all day reading magazine. Reading about them of course. An article about their ethnic politics in Himal Khabar Patrika was very interesting. The survey shows most of the people for whom Maoists claim they are fighting for the ethnic states either don’t know what ethnic autonomous state is or do not want it at all.
They just want equal opportunity in all the sector. They don’t want their country to divide at all. The truth about Maoist ethnic autonomous state now is, its just another card they have which they think can make people stay with them. Specially those same people to whom Maoist had brainwashed ever since they started their so called peoples war. Sadly, the country has majority of such people. This ethnic division only and only increases the ethnic violence and differences. As the magazine reports, after the Monarchy, Maoists have given the impressions to the other ethnic people that Brahmin and Chhetris are their new enemy.
And they have plans for their fourth round of so called agitation so do Madheshi Janadhikar Forum have plans for their third Madhesh agitation.
The declaration of ethnic autonomous regions by Maoist not only makes me worry about the country but also makes me laugh. Call me ignorant but that is no way gonna help people of this nation. And they can’t do it in the first place. They just can’t. Its not right. It has to be done by the Constitutional Assembly. It has to be done by people. People need to first understand what this all has to do with their empowerment.
